5 Lassi’s in 5 minutes

Lassi is a traditional Indian yoghurt drink, rich in probiotic and a summer cooler drink. Traditional Lassi’s are made with yoghurt in a sweet and a salty version.

In this post, I would like to share my 5 different flavoured Lassi including a traditional sweet Lassi. It can be made for get-togethers and party’s as it can be made in few minutes and tastes super delicious 🙂

Salty. sweet, fruity, nutty, chocolatey…oh my so many types of Lassi. Sometimes this drink can be made without any planning & preparation. Yoghurt and milk are common in every kitchen-holds and adding bit of fruits, nuts and flavourings can make a difference in color and taste and a whole lot of variation. Natural colours in this drink would be an eye catcher for everyone.

As the title says, you can make 5 different variations in 5 minutes or even less. Yoghurt, Milk, fruits can be stored in the refrigerator in cooler section until it is used in the recipe. Then it is only adding the ingredients and blending it together and that can be instantly served. Hand blender saves some time compared to mixer jars as it avoids some time in cleaning the jars afterwards. Serving fresh Lassi is ideal with a frothy layer and fresh garnishes/toppings on top which is inviting. If you want to make ahead, Pre-made lassi can be stored in the refrigerator and served in a day or two.

As Yoghurt is the key ingredient, thick Creamy yoghurt like greek style yogurt would be well suitable for this recipe and gives a rich taste. Alternatively low fat yoghurt and Sugar alternatives also be used if you are diet conscious.
