Prawns Masala Fry

- Tiger Prawns – 500 gms
- Oil – 2 Tsp
- Onion – 2 large finely chopped
- Tomato – 1 finely chopped
- Cinnamon stick – 1
- Cardamom – 2
- Bay leaves – 1
- Cloves – 5
- Ginger – 1 Tsp, finely chopped
- Garlic – 1 Tsp, finely chopped
- Chilli Powder – 1 Tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 1/2 Tsp
- Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander leaves – 1/4 Cup for garnishing
- Salt as per taste.
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan and add Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves, Bay leaves, and stir for a minute.
2. Add the ginger and garlic followed by onions. Fry till onions are translucent.
3. Add the tomatoes and cook for 3 – 5 minutes until the tomatoes are cooked.
4. Add the Spice powder Chilli, coriander, Tumeric, and Salt. Add 1/4 cup of water cover the lid and allow it to cook for 15 minutes.
5. By this time the base is well cooked. Now add prawns and cook for not more than 5 minutes.
6. Complete the dish with coriander and serve it as a side dish with Rice.

Uh wow! Loved prawn masala! But lately, I’m beginning to dislike prawn, dunno y though. I still cook it for my family…;)

Prawns masala looks soo colourful and well presented, sure it will taste yum yum with hot rasam rice. My faaav prawns masala with plain rice.

Wow! This is my Fav! Very inviting Prawn Masala,all need is steamed hot rice to go with this. By the way you have got it the restuarant style 🙂
