Happy Easter!!! & Bunny Cake….

Well, Its Easter time and shops are overloaded with easter eggs, bunny & Lamb cakes, chocolates. Thanks to my dear friend Ramaa, who has presented me with this beautiful bunny mould which was the motivation to make this cake. I just followed the simple recipe which was available from this cake mould product. I wish all my friends and viewers a Happy Easter!!!

Ingredients:

  1. Egg- 1
  2. Butter – 70gms
  3. sugar – 70gms
  4. vanilla sugar – 15gms or vanilla flavoring or lemon flavoring
  5. salt – a pinch
  6. flour – 90gms
  7. Baking powder – 1/2tsp
  8. Icing sugar for dusting and Icing approx- 150gms.

Method:

1. The recipe called for beating the eggwhite separately with little sugar and keep it aside.

2. Beat the egg yellow and the remaining sugar and add all the remaining ingredients.

3. Finally, fold the egg white mixture with egg yellow mixture.

4. Grease the bunny mould with butter and then breadcrumbs. Now, put in the cake mixture.

5. Preheat the oven for 180C and bake for 35-40 min.

6. Once done remove from the mould and dust with icing sugar. (Or) Make an icing with icing sugar and a few drops of water. Fill in the piping cone and decorate the bunny with dots. I added lemon flavoring to the icing.
